A group of Travellers entered Claygate Recreation Ground yesterday evening. This was despite the brave actions of various Claygate residents to prevent them doing so. Thank you to all those residents who did what they could to try to prevent them getting on the ground. The Travellers forced entry and there are now up to 200 travellers on the recreation ground. The Dalmore, Woodland and Foley Rd gates will be closed until further notice. Please see below report from Elmbridge Borough Council on what will happen next. This link will be updated with further news as and when there are further developments. If you see any further suspicious activities, please report them to the police on 101.
